On one of the hottest days this year, we received an invitation to the OMG Nest Demo Day for Komerční banka.
What exactly was it about?
Omnicom Media Group with the help of StartupYard organized a meeting of Komerční banka and startups. The program was a showcase of 7 innovative startups followed by networking, speed dating and discussions about possible collaboration.
Representatives of Komerční banka had the opportunity to see in action new technologies and original services that could help the bank with their internal processes.
Managers from Komerční banka also played the role of investors and could invest fictitious money in the best startup. The judging was which startup would bring the most benefit to the bank.
On our behalf, we have to say that everyone was great, every startup in their category. The winner was SentiSquare, who received the largest amount of investment and whose seven-minute pitch by sales manager Jan Tichý appealed most to those present.
Thanks to Pavel Röder from OMG and Nikola Rafaj from StartupYard for inviting us. We enjoyed the demo day, saw other great projects and had the opportunity to personally discuss with many representatives of different departments in the bank what they are currently worried about, what problems they are solving and whether and how we can help. We made contacts and look forward to working together.
We rate the Demo Day for Komerční banka as a great event and an original idea for an event that will help push innovation in the bank a bit further.
Startups that presented: SentiSquare, Valuo, Patron and Jiří Paták, Fingood s.r.o., Advanto, Retino and Marek Duda, Donio and Michaela Hajátková.
